Located within the grounds of the Melbourne Zoo, the newly constructed “Small Animals Hospital” facility has been built with core fill, steel reinforced walls and light gauge steel roof structure.
Roof Truss Structure
Light gauge roof trusses were designed, supplied, and installed all within a short time frame. The design incorporated commercial air conditioning units and duct work within the roof cavity. Trusses were engineered to accommodate environmental loads, imposed A/C units and Solar panel loading.
With tight access to the building area, a large mobile crane was used for delivery and installation.
